London-based LegalTech company Orbital has raised €50 million in Series B funding to expand its AI platform and embed it more deeply across the real estate legal workflow.

Orbital, a London-headquartered LegalTech company specialising in real estate law, has closed a €50 million Series B round to accelerate development of its AI-driven platform and scale its presence across the UK and US property markets. The funding will be used to enhance product capabilities, expand customer adoption, and support Orbital’s growing role as a core technology layer in real estate legal transactions.
Founded in 2018 and formerly known as Orbital Witness, the company builds software designed specifically for the legal work underpinning property deals. Its platform applies artificial intelligence to tasks such as title review, lease analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment, combining legal documents with property data and spatial visualisation. Orbital reports that its technology supports hundreds of thousands of real estate transactions annually and is used by thousands of lawyers and property professionals across law firms, developers, title companies, and investment managers.
With the new capital, Orbital plans to advance its roadmap in several key areas. Product development will focus on expanding automation across the full lifecycle of real estate transactions, from early-stage investigation through to completion and post-close analysis. The company is also investing in its AI assistant, Orbital Copilot, to handle more complex legal queries and provide deeper, context-aware insights tied to specific properties and jurisdictions.
Expansion in the United States is another priority. Orbital has already established a New York presence and intends to build additional teams to support US law firms and real estate clients, adapting its platform to local legal frameworks while maintaining a unified product architecture. The company has indicated that it expects to significantly grow its workforce as it scales delivery and customer support alongside product development.
Orbital positions its platform as an infrastructure layer rather than a standalone tool. By integrating document intelligence, mapping, historical property data, and reporting into a single system, the company aims to sit at the centre of the real estate legal ecosystem, connecting lawyers, clients, and transaction data in one workflow. This approach is intended to reduce manual review, improve consistency, and allow legal teams to focus on higher-value advisory work.
The Series B round was led by Brighton Park Capital, with participation from strategic and financial investors including REV, The LegalTech Fund, Moderne Ventures, and Grosvenor Group, alongside existing backers. With fresh capital in place, Orbital is now focused on execution, positioning its AI platform as a foundational system for modern real estate law rather than an add-on to legacy processes.
