WhatsApp to Allow Users to Have Multiple Accounts

The relevant information is contained in the Meta’s message, which was published last Thursday, October 19. As a result of the new feature, users have the opportunity to switch between accounts without any difficulties. In this case, the need to log out or carry two smartphones with you every time is eliminated.

The expansion of WhatsApp functionality was also personally announced by the head of Meta Mark Zuckerberg. According to him, the ability to simultaneously log in to several accounts registered on the mentioned virtual platform, which is part of the digital ecosystem of the technology giant, will become available to owners of devices running on the Android operating system in the coming weeks.

To create an additional personal page in WhatsApp, users need to have a second phone number or a smartphone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM. In this case, the algorithm of actions provides that in the app it needs to go to the settings section and click Add account. Privacy and notification management is individual for each user page in WhatsApp.

The new feature will simplify the management of conversations in multiple accounts. This is especially true for those who have shared in this app communication on work issues and personal conversations. In this case, it means using different accounts for the mentioned purpose. Also, the new feature eliminates the fear of sending messages from a personal page which a person was not going to apply in a particular case.

WhatsApp is actively working to improve the availability of accounts on different devices. For example, in 2021, the virtual platform launched a feature that allowed you to use a personal page across Android tablets, browsers, or computers. Now this technical solution was extended as a result of the addition of smartphones to the mentioned list of devices.

Also this week WhatsApp launched support for access passwords for Android. This solution allows owners of devices running on the mentioned operating system to log into the app without having to pass two-factor authentication based on SMS.

As we have reported earlier, Meta to Expand WhatsApp Payment Service to India.
