In the new version of the app, Telegram enhanced its privacy & security features.

For example, granular privacy settings in messaging became more flexible with exceptions for group chats. From now on, a user can make something visible for all of their relatives in one group chat and keep it private from, say, all their colleagues in another. Settings will adjust automatically as people join and leave the groups.

Additionally, a user can choose who will be able to see their phone number. As in the previos example, they can hide their number from a group of people with a new dedicated privacy control «Who Can See My Number».

Moreover, Telegram apps will now show a scam label for suspicious accounts.
