Amazon has introduced Amazon One technology that allows customers to use their palm to pay or present a loyalty card at the store.

Initially, the rollout will start in select Amazon Go stores, where it will be added to the store’s entry gate.

To use Amazon One, customers will need to insert their credit card. Next, they hover their palm over the device and follow the prompts to associate that card with the unique palm signature. That signature is being built by computer vision technology in real-time.

Once they’ve enrolled, they can just hold their palm above the Amazon One device at the entry for about a second or so.

We’ve reported that SEC charged a former finance manager at Amazon and two family members with insider trading in advance of Amazon earnings announcements.
