American Express collaborated with health and life insurance and investment company Vitality to launch a new credit card.

The Vitality American Express credit card rewards Vitality members with cashback and has no annual card fee. To earn points, Vitality members will need to sync their app with the device that will track their activity. Members earn points for activities such as completing 7,000 steps per day, visiting the gym or taking part in a run.

The amount of physical activity affects the cashback booster level. It means that the more activity the app records, the more cashback user can earn.

Health and wellbeing sit at the very core of our business, and time and time again we have seen the power of incentives in driving positive behaviour change around physical activity and making people healthier
Neville Koopowitz, CEO at Vitality

The credit card offers cardholders up to 1% cashback on spending, with no limit to the amount of cashback that can be earned.
