Apple customers in the U.S. can now buy Level Lock+ with Home Key Support to make their homes smarter. The first Home Key-supported lock introduced in Apple stores is designed by Level Home. 

Once installed in a door, users can lock and unlock their house doors with a tap using the Apple Home Key feature. The software uses NFC and secure tokens to turn customers’ Apple Watch or iPhone into a key. In addition, users can text keys to their friends or automate the lock timing.

Many of Apple’s new software features in recent years have been concentrated on digitizing objects normally carried in a physical wallet or pocket, from cash to keys. Besides Home Key, Apple has announced Car Key and Room Key features, integrated with partnering car providers and hotel chains. 

These innovations will supposedly make iPhone more valuable to users, standing out among other phone models. For Level, it’s an opportunity to stand out as a technology company in a highly-competitive smart lock market.
