Google added a new payment feature for its Chrome users

Google is currently testing biometric fingerprint payment feature for desktop.
The company has teamed up with the online payment processing platform Stripe to trial the fingerprint-powered enrollment.
This decision follows the addition of biometric credit card authentication and touch-to-fill support for Android.
The company has presented the Secure Payment Confirmation function which soon will be released for all Chrome users. The technology uses 3D Secure 2.0 authentication, Google has explained.
Chrome’s new credit card autofill feature is powered by WebAuth, a biometric authentication standard.
The biometric fingerprint feature is currently available only for Mac, but Google will bring it to Windows and Android by Q2 2021.
We’ve reported that Google will build a subsea cable with landing points in New York, the US, in Bude, the UK, and Bilbao, Spain.
