Nicolas Weng Kan has been announced as the CEO of Yolt. He has spent the last 6 years in senior roles such as the CEO of Google Compare and Confused.com, and the Head of Operations for UK insurer, Admiral.

Nicolas will be responsible for managing both Yolt and Yolt Technology Services, the open banking provider making over 22 million API calls a week.

I strongly believe we have the talent, experience, and commitment to support both consumers and businesses through these uncertain times. Now, perhaps more than ever is when open banking adoption is likely to have a transformative impact, whether that’s delivered through innovative money apps like Yolt or as a service to companies looking to bring new solutions to market quickly and efficiently

The new CEO of Yolt has also led successful startups previously, having launched Quickquote and Motormate. Nicolas has recently introduced ONEZERO-ME, a digital credit and risk scoring startup.

We’ve reported that VibePay has opened up its APIs for B2B and subscription payments, thus making available for retailers, businesses, and SMEs. The company announced its plans after it secured €1.4 million in funding, making the total investment reach €7.2 million.
