Mastercard and Envisible, a company that is engaged in the food systems visibility, partner to provide clear and accurate information about the origins of what we eat. Envisible’s Wholechain traceability system, along with Mastercard’s blockchain-based Provenance Solution, is now used by a leading US food cooperative Topco Associates, helping to define the sources of seafood. The main aim of their cooperation is to provide a clear and transparent vision into the problem of ethical seafood sourcing and selection at the stores, and the first one’s species to be observed are salmon, cod, and shrimp.

Using Envisible Wholechain, powered by Mastercard, our grocers will be able to stock shelves with confidence and also be able to pinpoint issues in the food chain during any unfortunate events such as recalls

The Mastercard Provenance Solution, based on the blockchain technology, provides transparency and visibility into the product’s path from the natural habitat to the customer, strengthening his assurance and consciousness about what he consumes.
