Mastercard has partnered Netcetera, the European web hosting service provider, to prepare retailers for EMV 3DS 2.2 requirements and the Mastercard Identity Check program.

The tests will allow merchants to check if their 3DS implementation complies with the PSD2 requirements. At the same time, it will find the causes of errors and eliminate them.

Besides, Mastercard’s test cards will allow retailers to test various transactions in real-time in their online shop. There are 19 test cases such as frictionless flows and challenge flows through different channels or exceptions from SCA.

The pilot program works on the Netcetera 3DS Access Control Server. It is certified to the latest 3DS 2.2 standards, the report states.

We’ve reported that UnionPay International has introduced the UnionPay 3DS online payment authentication solution. It is based on the EMVCo Specifications, aimed to make payment authentication easier for cross-border e-commerce merchants.
