Consumer spending on sextech devices grew to simulate intimacy, without breaching social distancing measures

According to Juniper Research, there will be over 36 million connected sextech devices in use in 2020, up from 19 million in 2019. The figures are representing a growth of 87%.
Besides, the sextech device market value is expected to grow $9 billion by 2025, up from $3.8 billion in 2020.
Connected sextech devices are compatible with smartphone devices. the research explains. They are enabling users to have greater control of devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
This growth is caused by lockdown measures, high confidence in online retail, and increased spare time.
The research forecasts that long-term growth in demand for sextech devices, such as connected vibrators and kegel exercisers, will be also driven by their inclusion in the concept of sexual wellness. Sexual wellness is a concept of improving sexual wellbeing, which can be supported by digital content and devices.
The fact of increasing demand for connected devices from consumers is anticipated to lead to greater availability from retailers.
In fact, 1 in 14 adults in North America is expected to possess at least 1 connected sextech device by 2025. That would represent over 21 million devices in general.
