Stripe has announced an expanded partnership with Mindbody. They aim to power advanced online and in-studio customer experiences for wellness customers in North America and across Europe.

Mindbody has deployed Stripe Terminal for in-studio payments in the US and Canada. That gives studios a simple way to set up modern EMV card readers and help customers check out with ease.

This helps businesses using Mindbody to build customer loyalty and personalize a hybrid experience for their customers.

As the global wellness industry goes through a seismic shift, fitness studios, spas, and salons are adapting with technology to stay connected with their customers. With Stripe, we have a global technology partner to help our customers—from Canadian yoga studios to British boxing classes—keep growing and evolving in a new wellness world

According to data, in June, 70% of consumers were using pre-recorded video versus 17% in 2019; and that 71% were using livestream classes weekly versus 7% in 2019.

Even after studios reopen, 46% of people surveyed by Mindbody stated that they intend to make virtual classes a regular part of their routine.

We’ve reported that Stripe, a payment processing company, is moving its services to Ireland, ensuring that European users will not be affected by Brexit.
