The growing share of mobile internet and apps are going to boost Turkish e-commerce
Last year, e-commerce in Turkey was worth €10.76 billion, meaning an increase of 39% compared to 2018 with €7.76 billion, according to Ecommerce News.
The data found that the average annual growth rate of the e-commerce industry in the country was around 35% over the last 5 years.
At the same time, 54% of the e-commerce industry’s value comes from multichannel retailers and online-only players. Another part comes from online betting and holiday & travel bookings. Of all these sectors, the pure online retail posted the largest growth, rising 48% year-on-year.
