UK residents can now store their coronavirus vaccination certificates on Apple Wallet or Google Pay. This will make it easy for Android and iOS device owners to show their digital proof vaccination against the virus.

In England, Apple users can use their Apple Wallet or the NHS App to load their NHS Covid Pass. iPad or iPhone users who get their NHS Covid certificate via the NHS App can store it on the Apple Wallet. The pass can be used to show the coronavirus status at venues or events.

If using a PDF form of the Covid Pass, users should be wary of the 30 days expiry period. As such, downloads and updates will be required before using the pass again. In England, Android users cannot store the Pass in Google Pay yet.

However, they can use the NHS App on their mobile devices to access it. The NHS app digital vaccine certificates were rolled out on both Android and iOS versions in May.

We’ve reported that misconceptions make young Brits more vulnerable to fraud.
