According to Ecommerce News, Whistl has launched a local test in the UK to help online retailers with low volumes.

The company revealed it rolled out the trial in the West Midlands, South Yorkshire, and Nottingham. There, Whistl will collect parcels from local online retailers and consolidate them at its new and existing micro hubs. Afterward, it will pass the parcels over to their logistics partners for delivery to the consumers.

Retailers, regardless of size, now have the opportunity to get their parcels to customers competitively.

What is more, small volume e-tailers will have access for the first time to carrier management systems, enabling them to offer consumers a wider range of delivery options including 24 and 48 hours services.

As we are seeing unprecedented demand for goods online during the current COVID-19 crisis, it is important that all retailers no matter of size have the opportunity to get their goods to customers competitivelyrn
Nick Wells, Whistl CEO

We’ve reported that the retailers have adapted their delivery and return propositions to ensure customer and staff safety during the pandemic. This way, these changes will transform consumer expectations of online delivery and returns.
