Singapore’s first wholesale digital bank GLDB is up and running

Representatives of the Green Link Digital Bank are working on providing affordable commercial banking services and will also work with various enterprises.

According to Fintechnews Singapore after winning the competition for a digital banking license in Singapore, the Green Link Digital Bank began operating legally. Green Link itself will be at the forefront in forming a digital finance ecosystem in the country. The goal will be to scale up their services and create way more supply chain finance products. Geng Jing, Chairman of GLDB declared that the bank’s customers will have enhanced technology as well as green finance. 

“The commencement of Green Link Digital Bank’s operations in Singapore symbolises a major milestone. It drives to strengthen the core pillars in digitalisation, technological empowerment and green finance.We aspire to be one of the key contributors towards digital economy advancements in Singapore and hope to play a significant role in cultivating an open digital finance ecosystem in Singapore”, – said Geng Jing.

GLDB will work very closely on a long-term basis with various different kinds of businesses in the country, according to Jing.
