Klarna and Vend announced their partnership, providing customers of boutique retailers with more flexible payment options, extending the playing field for small businesses to compete with enterprise retail and offering Klarna’s payments in-store across the UK.

Vend’s cloud-based software allows independent retailers to manage their inventory on-the-go, running reporting analytics for users that give insight on customer loyalty and what’s selling well. Vend’s partnership with Klarna gives an enterprise tool to small business retailers. This way, ‘hard-to-find’ items stocked by independent retailers can now be sold using ‘buy-now-pay-later’ feature in-store on Vend ePOS, and online.

Consumers will be able to pay with Klarna by scanning a QR code or using a payment link provided by SMS or email before they fill out their details and select a payment option. Afterward, Klarna makes a real-time decision and Vend’s ePOS system will automatically reconcile Klarna sales at the end of the day.
