Aevi and Verifone Partner to Scale In-Person Payments Globally

Aevi and Verifone have entered a strategic partnership to simplify how enterprises deploy and manage in-person payments across markets and devices.

Aevi and Verifone Partner to Scale In-Person Payments Globally

Aevi, a provider of cloud-based in-person payment orchestration software, and Verifone, a global supplier of payment devices and services, have announced a partnership focused on reducing complexity in physical point-of-sale payment environments. The collaboration brings together Aevi’s software layer with Verifone’s global hardware footprint to support large merchants operating across multiple regions.

The partnership is designed to address a long-standing challenge for in-person payments: fragmented integrations. Large retailers and service providers often rely on different acquirers, payment methods, and device setups in each country, requiring separate technical integrations and operational processes. Aevi’s platform acts as an orchestration layer that connects payment devices to multiple acquirers and services through a single integration, while Verifone provides the terminals, deployment capabilities, and ongoing device management.

Under the agreement, Aevi’s orchestration technology will be made available across Verifone’s portfolio of in-store, mobile, and unattended payment devices. This allows merchants to use the same payment logic, routing rules, and reporting structure across different locations and device types, while still supporting local payment methods and regulatory requirements.

Aevi indicated that the partnership is intended to increase flexibility for merchants operating in complex payment environments, particularly those expanding internationally. The company said the collaboration combines complementary strengths, enabling customers to manage in-person payments through a cloud-based platform rather than relying on proprietary, market-specific systems.

Verifone, meanwhile, stated that working with Aevi extends the capabilities of its device ecosystem by adding a payment orchestration software layer designed for multi-acquirer and multi-market operations. The company noted that this approach can reduce the need for repeated integrations and certifications when rolling out payment services in new regions.

From an operational perspective, the partnership also brings together Aevi’s centralised payment and device orchestration with Verifone’s managed services, including device deployment, logistics, and estate management. This combination is intended to help enterprises roll out and maintain large fleets of payment terminals more consistently across geographies.

The announcement comes as merchants increasingly look to align in-store payments with broader omnichannel strategies, using shared infrastructure and data across physical and digital touchpoints. By focusing on standardised integration and centralised management, the Aevi-Verifone partnership reflects a wider industry shift toward software-led approaches in in-person payments, particularly for businesses operating at scale.
