Worldline One Commerce solution is now avalable in the United Kingdom, as the firm expands unified commerce options for local enterprise merchants.

Worldline, European payment service provider, announced the launch of its brand new One Commerce solution, with the UK chosen as the initial market, with broader European rollout in future plans.
Worldline One Commerce is a single payments infrastructure that connects all a merchant’s sales channels, e.g. e-commerce, mobile apps, physical stores, and self-service terminals, into one backend system. Such a shared, API-driven payment backbone is increasingly seen as a preferred alternative to fragmented channel-specific separate payment systems.
Instead of running separate payment setups for online and in-store transactions, merchants integrate once with Worldline’s platform. From there, all payment requests, wherever they come from (a website checkout, a POS terminal, or a kiosk), are routed through the same processing layer.
At the core of the solution is a centralised transaction engine that authorises payments, routes transactions to Worldline or third-party acquirers, and applies consistent rules for risk, routing, and settlement across channels.
Each channel uses its own frontend (e.g. checkout page, POS software), but they all rely on the same APIs, tokenisation, and payment logic behind the scenes. This allows a customer to start a transaction in one channel and complete or return it in another, such as buying online and returning in-store, creating a seamless omnichannel shopping experience – crucial in the market where over 60% of merchants offer at least one omnichannel purchase option (e.g. Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) or other click-and-collect services).
Operationally, all transaction data flows into a single reporting and reconciliation layer. This means merchants no longer need to match online and offline payments manually or across different providers. Finance teams get one view of settlements, fees, and performance, regardless of where the sale took place.
The platform also supports local payment methods and currencies through the same integration, enabling merchants to activate new markets or channels without rebuilding their payment stack.
“Enterprise merchants increasingly need to manage complex payment environments while delivering seamless experiences across all channels. With Worldline One Commerce, we provide UK merchants with a unified payments foundation that simplifies operations, supports consistent customer journeys, and is built to scale across Europe.”

Earlier Worldline’s product update for the UK’s small businesses featured its Android SmartPOS, an Android-based payment platform designed to go beyond traditional card terminals, turning them into a connected business tool.
