Startup iGenius, which operates in the area of artificial intelligence, is currently building one of the world’s largest Nvidia DGX AI supercomputers with Nvidia Grace Blackwell superchips.
The mentioned supercomputer will be used to deploy machine intelligence models in the financial services industry, healthcare area, and public sector worldwide.
The supercomputer, named iGenius Colosseum, will be located in Europe and is expected to deliver 115 exaflops of computational performance. The relevant information is contained in the startup’s press release, which was published on Thursday, December 5.
Uljan Sharka, chief executive officer of iGenius, stated that the startup designed the supercomputer for unicorn use cases that can deliver $1 billion+ in value. In the relevant context, it was also separately noted that combining the company’s expertise with Nvidia’s accelerated computing and software helps unlock transformative opportunities to solve extraordinary challenges in the finance, healthcare, and government sectors. Moreover, in this case, the goal is to serve customers around the world.
The press release contains information according to which the supercomputer, among other things, will be used for building artificial intelligence apps, including training open-source generative AI and large language models with more than a trillion parameters.
It was also noted in the press release that iGenius Colosseum will support the next stage of the startup’s collaboration with Nvidia on the development of artificial intelligence models with the data security, reliability, and accuracy required for financial consulting, patient services, and government planning.
Moreover, the supercomputer will support equitable access to AI technologies by connecting enterprises, academic institutions, and policymakers. This was stated in the press release.
