It is also currently known that the corresponding decision will be extended to international pickups by the end of 2024. The appropriate information was published on the blog of the e-commerce giant on Wednesday, September 18.

The company reports that its new functional solution automates the movement of goods through the Amazon supply chain services.

Dharmesh Mehta, vice president, of worldwide selling partner services at Amazon, said that as part of the presented offer, sellers simply provide product details, and the e-commerce giant controls everything else, including carrier pickup, inventory consolidation, strategic replenishment and placement into fulfillment centers located closest to customers, and constant optimization on based on the analysis of demand, inventory levels, and costs.

The new solution also provides sellers with the opportunity to choose the option of using the company’s fully managed supply chain. Moreover, in this case, it is possible to continue making the appropriate choice manually and independently make decisions about the movement of goods.

The e-commerce giant launched the Supply Chain by Amazon in September. The company described this service as a comprehensive set of the supply chain, which will allow sellers to focus on product development and business growth while Amazon solves the tasks related to the complexities of logistics.
