A new T-REX blockchain network designed to standardize compliance across tokenized securities markets has been launched with backing from Apex Group and Polygon Labs.

The T-REX Network introduced its “T-REX Ledger,” a blockchain built using Polygon technology, aimed at supporting the growing ecosystem of regulated digital assets.
Developed by the ERC-3643 Association, the blockchain network builds on the ERC-3643 token standard, which has been used to tokenize more than $32 billion in assets to date through Tokeny. The standard is supported by a consortium of over 140 institutions spanning traditional finance and decentralized finance, including DTCC and Chainlink.
“The industry has aligned on ERC-3643 as the standard for compliant issuance, but compliance also needs to scale across blockchains to guarantee onchain legal ownership,” said Joachim Lebrun, Founder of T-REX Network and Chief Blockchain Officer at Tokeny. “T-REX Ledger provides a single source of truth for compliance state and allows blockchains to function as distribution networks rather than isolated systems. This enables regulated assets to move to wherever liquidity exists, without fragmenting rules, ownership records, or accountability.”
The T-REX Network & partners blockchain launch reflects continued growth in tokenized real-world assets, with industry estimates suggesting that more than $370 billion in value is now represented on blockchain infrastructure globally. As financial institutions expand into tokenized bonds, funds, and other regulated instruments, the need for consistent compliance mechanisms across platforms has become more pronounced.
Regulatory scrutiny of tokenized markets is also increasing. The International Organization of Securities Commissions has highlighted risks linked to opaque structures and unclear responsibilities, underscoring the importance of consistent compliance frameworks across jurisdictions.
T-REX Ledger is intended to address fragmentation in compliance processes, where investor eligibility checks, transfer restrictions, and ownership records are often maintained separately or partially off-chain. The network introduces a shared compliance layer designed to function across multiple blockchains while allowing transactions to settle independently.
Built using Polygon’s Chain Development Kit and connected via its interoperability protocol Agglayer, the system maintains unified investor registries and rule sets across networks. Apex Group, which administers more than $3.5 trillion in assets globally, is set to act as an on-chain transfer agent at launch.

The platform enables issuance and lifecycle management of digital securities with embedded identity, eligibility, and transfer rules. This structure is designed to allow assets to move across wallets, applications, and blockchain networks without altering compliance requirements, potentially supporting broader secondary market activity.
Recent developments in financial market infrastructure highlight growing institutional interest in tokenization. Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, is working on a platform for continuous trading and on-chain settlement of tokenized securities. Meanwhile, DTCC is developing tokenized collateral management systems. Regulatory frameworks are also evolving, with the European Union’s MiCA regulation and guidance from the Monetary Authority of Singapore addressing tokenized financial instruments.
As tokenization expands across securities, collateral, and settlement systems, initiatives like T-REX Ledger aim to establish a unified compliance framework that can operate across multiple blockchain networks.
