Brazilian digital banking and payments platform PicPay has successfully priced its initial public offering (IPO) in the United States, raising approximately $434 million and marking the first significant U.S. listing by a Brazilian company in over four years.

PicPay’s holding company PicS NV sold 22.86 million Class A common shares at $19 per share, the top of its marketed price range of $16 to $19, implying a valuation of roughly $2.5 billion based on outstanding shares. The shares are starting trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker “PICS” on January 29, 2026.
The offering also includes a 30-day underwriter option to purchase up to an additional 3.4 million shares at the IPO price, potentially lifting the total proceeds toward $500 million.
PicPay had filed for a U.S. IPO earlier this month, reviving plans it first pursued in 2021 — a previous effort that was withdrawn amid unfavorable market conditions.
Headquartered in São Paulo and acquired in 2015 by Brazilian holding company J&F Investimentos, controlled by billionaire brothers Wesley and Joesley Batista, PicPay began in 2012 as a mobile digital wallet. It has since expanded into a full digital bank and financial services platform with tens of millions of users.
In its SEC filing, PicPay reported strong recent performance, with revenue and financial income of approximately R$7.26 billion (~$1.3 billion) and net income of around R$313 million (~$60 million) in the first nine months of 2025, up significantly from earlier periods.
PicPay competes in Brazil’s fast-growing digital finance market, where the Pix instant payment system has driven widespread adoption of electronic transactions. The company offers wallet transfers, QR and card payments, loans, insurance, and investment products to both consumers and small businesses.
The IPO drew robust investor interest, with orders reportedly exceeding available shares by a wide margin, seen by some market participants as a sign of renewed appetite for fintech IPOs from Latin America after a multi-year lull.
PicPay’s U.S. listing follows other notable fintech IPOs, including Brazilian digital lender Nubank’s NYSE debut in 2021 and reflects broader trends of Latin American financial technology companies turning to U.S. markets for capital and valuation support.
