Chargebacks911 and acceptcards have announced a strategic partnership to provide chargeback prevention and dispute management services to acceptcards’ merchant clients in the United Kingdom.

Chargebacks911, Acceptcards Announce Partnership as Friendly Fraud Reaches 45% of UK Chargebacks

The partnership combines acceptcards’ payment processing and merchant services with Chargebacks911’s dispute management technology. The companies say the integration is intended to give merchants tools covering both payment acceptance and the handling of chargebacks after transactions take place.

Under the arrangement, acceptcards’ business clients will gain access to chargeback prevention tools, dispute analysis features, and automated dispute handling processes. The service also provides merchants with data on dispute trends and post-transaction risks to help them monitor performance and identify potential operational issues.

According to UK Finance, UK-issued debit and credit cards were used for 31.4 billion transactions in 2024, totalling over £1 trillion in value and accounting for 64% of all transactions. Alongside this volume, dispute rates are rising. A 2025 Mastercard report found that friendly fraud, where customers dispute legitimate charges, accounts for 45% of all chargebacks.

Chargebacks911’s own Chargeback Field Report found that 72% of merchants reported an average 18% increase in friendly fraud over a three-year period. LexisNexis has also identified friendly fraud (e.g. customers falsely disputing charges, exploiting refund policies, or misrepresenting their identities to secure credit) as the leading form of fraud (38.3%) against merchants globally.

“Merchants today are navigating a far more complex payments environment than ever before,” said Monica Eaton, Founder and CEO of Chargebacks911. “It’s no longer enough to simply accept payments. You have to actively manage what happens after the transaction. By partnering with acceptcards, we’re helping UK businesses take a more proactive approach to protecting their revenue throughout the entire payment lifecycle.”

To address the pament environment’s complexity, Chargebacks911 earlier introduced the update to its Unified Dispute Management System (UDMS), which is now equipped with advanced AI to identify risks as early as possible.

“Getting paid is only part of the equation,” added Richard Bradley, Founder and CEO at acceptcards. “Our merchants also need to keep that revenue. Partnering with Chargebacks911 allows us to offer a more complete solution, one that not only supports seamless payments but also helps protect businesses from the growing impact of chargebacks.”
