OpenAI reported that the number of weekly active users of its AI-powered chatbot called ChatGPT is more than 200 million.
The mentioned indicator is twice the figure recorded in November last year. Currently, ChatGPT continues to be the most popular product in the AI-powered chatbot market. It is worth noting that the so-called artificial intelligence boom began with the debut of this digital product in 2022, which is still ongoing and is likely to continue in the foreseeable future. Other players in the AI-powered chatbot market often offer various updates to their functional systems to increase their competitiveness.
OpenAI also reported that about 92% of Fortune 500 companies use its products. It was also separately noted in the relevant context that the usage of the company’s automated API has doubled since the release of the GPT-4o mini in July.
OpenAI chief executive officer Sam Altman said during a conversation with media that people now apply the firm’s tools as part of their daily lives. In this context, he noted that artificial intelligence makes a real difference in areas such as healthcare and education. Digital intelligence helps with routine tasks, solving hard problems, or unlocking creativity.
The artificial intelligence chatbot market is currently in a battle for users between OpenAI and technology giants such as Google, and Meta.
Meta reported this week that the adoption of its open-source Llama models has also grown sharply. The technology giant noted that usage at the major cloud service providers has doubled between May and July of the current year with the release of Llama 3.1.
