Higher-value transactions have always been the ones to face limited netbanking experiences, but Banking Connect through Decentro offers to eliminate most of those limitations, creating smooth money flows and a simplified integration experience.

Decentro, a fintech infrastructure/API platform based in India, is integrating with Banking Connect, payment rails created by NPCI Bharat BillPay, a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
The integration aims to reduce fragmentation across banks in the way they handle netbanking payments. At present, each bank must integrate separately with each payment aggregator, which creates a lot of friction.
While UPI is dominating across smaller-value payments, creating a unified infrastructure for those, netbanking is mostly reserved for corporate transactions, especially high-value ones. It is, thus, particularly painful for businesses to see that system remaining inconsistent, hard to integrate and reconcile for years. In the absence of an easy-to-access unified infrastructure, users often face payment failures if their bank isn’t integrated with a specific aggregator.
To finally standardize online payment flows across participating banks, businesses will now be able to plug in the Decentro developer-focused platform.
Some of the expected features that simplify high-value payment acceptance are:
- pre-built APIs to accelerate onboarding,
- tools for reconciliation,
- reporting and transaction tracking
“We’re building a technology layer that enables businesses to run scalable and efficient payment workflows without the complexity of banking integrations,” said Pratik Daudkhane, Co-founder of Decentro “Banking Connect through Decentro enables organisations of all sizes to prepare for scalable, standardised high-value payment operations.”
In this scenario, Banking Connect will act like a common rail for netbanking transactions. Meanwhile, Decentro will provide pre-built APIs for quick onboarding, payment orchestration layer, reporting and reconciliation dashboards, and compliance-ready workflows.
“We’re seeing strong demand for more streamlined and standardised netbanking workflows for high-value transactions,” said Rohit Taneja, Founder & CEO of Decentro. “With Banking Connect enabled via NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd and delivered through Decentro’s APIs and orchestration layer, businesses can simplify complex banking integrations while maintaining compliance and operational control. We are ready to bring this capability to market.”
