Founded by Elon Musk last year, startup xAI, which operates in the space of the artificial intelligence industry, on Thursday, December 5, announced that it had managed to raise about $6 billion in equity financing.
The mentioned funds will strengthen the competitiveness of the startup. It is worth noting that there is currently a significant increase in competition in the artificial intelligence industry.
The startup founded by Elon Musk aims to scale its footprint in the mentioned industry. As part of the related efforts, xAI expanded its Memphis, Tennessee, supercomputer to house at least one million graphics processing units.
Last month, the media released information according to which the startup’s market capitalization exceeded the $50 billion mark.
It is worth noting that last month, Elon Musk expanded his lawsuit against OpenAI, which developed the world’s most popular artificial intelligence-based chatbot called ChatGPT. According to him, the mentioned company illegally thought to monopolize the market for generative AI and sideline competitors.
During the period of active development of artificial intelligence and scaling up the practice of using AI, the issue of cybersecurity has become more relevant. Cybercriminals also have access to digital thinking systems. For this reason, their activities have become more sophisticated. To counteract the relevant threats in the cyber environment, personal awareness of users is important. For example, a query in an Internet search engine, such as how to know if my camera is hacked, will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device.
