Huawei Technologies has launched a partnership with Sichuan Zigong Conveying Machine Group Co (ZGCMC).
The goal of the mentioned cooperation is to scale the implementation of artificial intelligence in heavy industry segments, including mining, equipment manufacturing, and bulk material transportation.
Huawei and ZGCMC signed a three-year partnership agreement. The companies stated in this document their intention to carry out activities aimed at deeply integrating large language models into heavy industry. Large language models are traditionally used as a kind of platform for the operation of generative artificial intelligence services.
The announcement of the cooperation between the two companies was released by ZGCMC this week. This firm is listed in Shenzhen and is one of China’s leading enterprises in the design, manufacture, and installation of machinery necessary for the transportation of bulk materials.
Within the framework of the announced partnership, ZGCMC intends to prioritize the use of Huawei’s product solutions and professional services. It is also known that Huawei will provide support for program design, global ecosystem collaboration, and talent training.
There is no information yet on the amount of funding that will be spent to realize the intentions of the partnership plan.
The collaboration between the two companies will also cover such spheres of activity as cloud computing, big data, smart factories, and digital transformation.
The announced partnership demonstrates Huawei’s desire to expand the scale of its business by implementing industrial solutions. Currently, this company is one of the world’s largest suppliers of telecommunications equipment and one of the main Chinese smartphone manufacturers.
It is worth noting that Huawei already has experience in interaction with the industry. For example, the cooperation of this technology giant with the state-owned firm Shaanxi Coal Industry has resulted in halving the number of miners working at a depth of 100 meters underground. The corresponding result became a reality due to the deployment of 5G infrastructure and artificial intelligence. Huawei’s activity has enabled the coal mining area to gain access to what can be characterized as a digital makeover.
As we have reported earlier, AI Giant iFlytek to Invest in Hong Kong.
