After the successful Brazil deployment, Juspay is rolling out Click to Pay functionality globally due to the Mastercard Engage partner program.

Juspay Accelerates Global Click to Pay Expansion With Mastercard Engage

Juspay, one of the leading paytech solutions and payment orchestration providers based in Bangalore, India, has joined the Mastercard Engage platform to enrich its payment stack with global Click to Pay reach.

By becoming a certified third-party partner to the payment network’s Engage program, Juspay receives access to advanced capabilities its end clients can benefit from. Those include:

● Biometric authentication with passkeys, enabling secure, passwordless transactions
● Card tokenisation, enhancing security and reducing fraud risk
● Streamlined checkout, minimizing friction and cart abandonment

Mastercard’s Click to Pay solution is an online payment option that allows shoppers to buy products and services in one click, once their credentials are stored within the network. Not having to fill out the lengthy checkout forms is seen as a welcome alternative by many e-commerce participants as well as merchants. About 1 in 5 card declines are caused by incorrect card information entered during checkout, e.g. a mistyped card number, CVV, or expiry date. These manual entry errors are among the top reasons for transaction declines, and many shoppers do not attempt another payment method after a failed authorization.

With Click to Pay, the chance of lost sales due to mistyped card details vanishes. Besides, tokenized card details are securely stored by the card networks, not the merchant itself and can be easily shared across any participating marketplaces.

Linking all the different ecosystem participants happens through Mastercard Engage program – a global partner network created by Mastercard to connect fintechs, payment companies, banks, merchants, and technology providers with trusted payment and digital-commerce partners.

“Joining the Mastercard Engage partner network is an important milestone as we scale Click to Pay globally,” said Mark Ronayne, Associate Director – International, Juspay. “At Juspay, we’re focused on removing friction from the checkout experience while maintaining the highest standards of security. With Click to Pay, we’re enabling merchants to offer a consistent, one-click checkout, helping improve conversion while delivering a seamless payment experience for consumers.”

When a payment company becomes a Mastercard Engage partner, it serves as a trust and credibility signal in the industry circles, since the program participants are typically:

  • passing Mastercard’s strict onboarding and evaluation process,
  • integrating their technology with Mastercard-related infrastructure,
  • recognized inside Mastercard’s partner ecosystem.

Within the established partnership, Juspay will also collaborate with Mastercard to support merchants in adoption of Click to Pay. Before global service expansion, Click to Pay integration was tested by Juspay in Brazil, where cart abandonment rates surpass 80%. At launch in October 2025, the feature was available to roughly 129 million Mastercard cardholders in the country.
