During a conversation with media representatives in Davos, where the World Economic Forum is taking place, Mr. Nadella said that he had no concerns about the non-profit structure of the specified partner. Separately, he noted the absence of any aspirations regarding the expansion of control over OpenAI in cooperation with this company, which created the world’s most popular chatbot based on artificial intelligence called ChatGPT.

Satya Nadella stated that in the context of interaction with the mentioned company, Microsoft wants good stability. He noted that the technology giant invested and collaborated with the developer of an artificial intelligence-based chatbot, which was a non-profit organization with capped profits before and remains so now. Mr. Nadella said he was comfortable with the current format of interaction with OpenAI. Separately, the head of Microsoft noted that he has no problems with any structure.

Satya Nadella stated that his company, which received an observer role on the board of directors of OpenAI, after the sudden removal and rapid return to the position of CEO Sam Altman, does not claim to be present at this managerial level. Microsoft has invested $13 billion in the developer of an AI-based chatbot. This amount of funding has made the tech giant the main investor in the company headed by Sam Altman.

Microsoft has also updated almost its entire product line using the technology that has become the functional base of ChatGPT. Satya Nadella stated that the chatbot created by OpenAI specialists is the first artificial intelligence product that everyone could relate to.

The head of Microsoft said that his company is not too dependent on the ChatGPT developer. Separately, he noted that OpenAI relies on the tech giant in the main technology segments needed to create the firm’s products. Mr. Nadella also said that Microsoft is researching and developing its own artificial intelligence programs separately from the mentioned partner.

Commenting on the current state of the partnership with OpenAI, Satya Nadella stated that he is pleased with the construct that is in place now. The head of Microsoft also noted that he feels able to control the fate of his company.

Satya Nadella believes that as the use of artificial intelligence expands, allowing the creation of new interfaces and new models for apps, his company will have the opportunity to participate in the development of equipment that takes advantage of advanced products.

Last week, Microsoft passed Apple as the most valuable company in terms of market capitalization. Satya Nadella is not enthusiastic about this achievement, which he described as a lagging indicator. According to him, one should not focus on the value of shares, which means nothing in terms of what will happen tomorrow. Separately, he noted that the indescribability of the future is especially relevant for the technology sector.
