The agreement with the Saudi Sudanese Bank is part of Network International’s broader effort to expand its presence in Sudan and support local financial institutions with scalable payment infrastructure.

Network International, a fintech company operating across the Middle East and Africa, has signed a strategic processing agreement with Saudi Sudanese Bank, a Sudanese financial institution, to support the bank’s digital payments ambitions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Network International will provide Saudi Sudanese Bank with end-to-end digital payment processing services. These services include Mastercard sponsorship, prepaid card issuing, and additional value-added payment capabilities intended to support the bank’s digital transformation initiatives.
Saudi Sudanese Bank has positioned itself as a facilitator of cross-border economic activity. The partnership with Network International is intended to introduce digital payment solutions aimed at modernising the local financial ecosystem, improving trade settlement efficiency, and supporting investment channels between markets.
The agreement was formalised during Cairo ICT 2025. It aligns with Saudi Sudanese Bank’s stated objective to enhance its digital capabilities and customer experience while contributing to the development of Sudan’s financial sector. The bank selected Network International based on its regional track record in delivering payment processing and digital payments solutions to banks.
Dr. Reda Helal, Group Managing Director, Processing, Africa at Network International said the partnership is intended to advance Sudan’s digital payments infrastructure by providing processing capabilities that support transformation and growth for financial institutions. The company representative noted that their solutions are designed to support banks seeking to scale digital payment services.
Saudi Sudanese Bank CEO, Osama Ali Ibrahim, added that the partnership would enable the bank to offer faster, more secure, and more accessible financial products and to build a more digitally enabled banking environment. The bank executive also noted that the agreement supports its broader strategy to modernise banking services and contribute to economic development in Sudan.
The partnership forms part of Network International’s wider strategy to strengthen its operations in Sudan and extend support to financial institutions in the region seeking modern payment solutions. It reflects ongoing efforts by fintech providers to support digital banking and payments infrastructure development in emerging markets.
