The new artificial intelligence model from OpenAI is called the o3. This virtual product was unveiled during a live-streamed event on Friday, December 20th. The new artificial intelligence model spends more time generating responses to user queries to solve more complex multi-step tasks. The startup also intends to present a smaller version of this digital product called o3-mini.
During Friday’s presentation, OpenAI shared some details about what o3 bests o1, the reasoning model it introduced in September when answering complicated questions related to topics such as coding.
The startup plans to release the o3-mini at the end of January. The o3 will be launched shortly after that. The corresponding statement was made by OpenAI chief executive officer Sam Altman.
