In honour of the partnership with Game4Ukraine, Revolut will also donate £20 to UNITED24 (a charity initiative of the President of Ukraine) for every customer who signs up to Revolut through the link in @revolutapp’s stories or donation landing page and spends with their card
The financial super-app Revolut has become one of the main partners of the charity match Game4Ukraine, which takes place on August 5th at Stamford Bridge Stadium in London.
The fundraising football match is dedicated to the reconstruction of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky School in Chernihiv Oblast. It was damaged by missiles during the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war in March 2022.
The UNITED24 initiative, supported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has organized the event. The event features two football star teams. The captains are Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who are also ambassadors of the fundraising platform UNITED24.
Besides the match itself, the event hosts a live music show produced by Legends Soccer Group for a global fundraising broadcast.
Existing Revolut customers in the UK had a chance of winning two tickets to Game4Ukraine. To test their luck, they had to make a donation on u24.gov.ua website with Revolut card to support education and science, humanitarian demining, medical aid and other ways to rebuild Ukraine.
Game4Ukraine website still accepts donations till the end of August. One can donate along the chosen football or music star and immediately see the estimated impact of that donation on schoolchildren’s lives. Moreover, to contribute to the cause, you shouldn’t necessarily donate yourself. Revolut donates £20 to UNITED24 for every customer that opens an account and uses their card.
“As a British-Ukrainian citizen, I thank everyone for the ongoing support and I invite you to join Revolut and Game4Ukraine in helping those who need it most right now. Let’s come together to rebuild Ukraine”, said Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder and CTO at Revolut.
