Revolut Targets $200B IPO While It Masters AI Risk Management With PRAGMA Model

Revolut Targets $200B IPO While It Masters AI Risk Management With PRAGMA Model

Fintech unicorn Revolut has its eyes set on the upcoming IPO prospects. According to FT sources, the company’s valuation might soar as high as $200 billion as a result of an initial public offering, which Revolut’s co-founder and CEO, Nik Storonsky, last week said was at least “two years away.”

Last year, the most valuable European fintech had a secondary share sale that nearly doubled its valuation from $45B to $75B. The next valuation boost is expected to come from another secondary share sale later this year. This time, experts and anonymous investor sources suggest Revolut’s market cap would reach over $100 billion.

While the company representatives are not commenting on these speculations, Revolut is significantly expanding its activities on AI front. Just a week ago, the company released PRAGMA – foundation models pre-trained on banking interactions of roughly 25 million users across 111 countries.

The model helps to predict which customers are likely to commit fraud, who have notable credit risk, and whether clients are about to leave the bank. Instead of relying on siloed task-specific models for different aspects of these predictions ( credit scoring, fraud detection, lifetime value prediction, communication engagement, etc), PRAGMA unites all the factors under one umbrella.

According to Revolut, this single shared architecture outperforms all the task-specific systems the company previously relied on or tested.

The company quotes impressive efficiency results: a +130.2% lift in Credit Scoring PR-AUC, +64.7% improvement in Fraud Recall, and +79.4% gain in Communication Engagement PR-AUC over production baselines.

Over the past year, other fintech giants like Stripe, Mastercard, and Visa have all rolled out some versions of proprietary foundation models. Most are already expanding these models into future-proof agentic commerce payment protocols.

Apart from internal AI updates, Revolut is also enhancing customer-facing UI capabilities. The firm just launched AIR in-app AI assistant designed to replace menu navigation with plain conversation for its 13 million UK customers.
