Regional retail investing platform launch is expected next year, as Robinhood secured authorisation from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

Robinhood plans to enter the Dubai market and expand across the Middle East from that entry point in 2027. The company has received authorization to provide financial services in the region from the DFSA through its subsidiary, Robinhood MENA Limited. The license covers 10 asset classes, including stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), cryptocurrencies, and investment tokens.
The exact launch dates and terms of service have not yet been announced. The known fact is that its retail investing platform will operate from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – a special economic and financial district in the UAE, which many global companies choose for regional launches.
“The arrival of one of the world’s most recognised retail investment platforms further strengthens DIFC’s ecosystem and reflects the calibre of international firms choosing Dubai as a base for regional expansion.”
His Excellency Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority
Salah Kaddoura has been appointed President and Senior Executive Officer of Robinhood MENA. The executive has vast fintech and finance experience through his previous roles at Thndr, Wethaq Securities, Market Securities (Dubai) and GTN.
“The demand for modern, accessible financial tools across this region is immense. From our new home in Dubai’s premier financial hub, we’re looking forward to building Robinhood’s regional presence and expanding access to the global financial ecosystem for a new generation of investors,” Kaddoura noted.
Robinhood already offers crypto trading in certain markets, as well as stock and ETF tokens to eligible customers in Europe, where they get exposure to US equities through blockchain-based tokens.
