Smartsheet and AWS to Help Companies Access Their Work Management Data

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Smartsheet, as part of a partnership, will join forces to help companies access their work management data through a digital assistant based on generative artificial intelligence.

Smartsheet and AWS to Help Companies Access Their Work Management Data

The interaction of the mentioned companies involves the launch of a connector that synchronizes information from Smartsheet’s enterprise platform into Amazon Q Business. It is worth noting that in this case, work management data is implied. It should also be clarified that data access is provided through a digital assistant based on generative artificial intelligence, which is part of the AWS virtual product line.

A press release posted on Amazon’s website this week notes that the connector, available to Q Business customers in public preview mode, provides consumers with the ability to query information managed in Smartsheet from a Gen AI-based digital assistant.

Ben Canning, senior vice president, of product experiences at Smartsheet, said that by integrating its flexible data model with Amazon Q Business, the company unlocks access to work management information for mutual clients so that they can focus on driving business outcomes. In this case, customers don’t have to worry about where and how their data lives.

As noted in the press release, the cooperation between the two companies is aimed at helping organizations make decisions driven by information. In this case, data silos are eliminated, which is a problem due to which information materials are isolated within multiple business apps.
