Travelex and TSB Bank have launched a referral partnership in New Zealand focused on travel money services.

Travelex & TSB Launch New Zealand Travel Money Partnership With 28 Store Access

The agreement allows TSB customers to buy foreign currency through Travelex’s website at discounted rates for store collection. Customers can also access the same rates at Travelex retail locations by presenting a TSB card or a recent bank statement.

The offer applies to both cash purchases and the prepaid Travelex Money Card. Customers can access more than 50 currencies in cash and nine currencies on the prepaid card.

The partnership follows similar referral agreements with other banks in New Zealand. Besides banks, the FX company also provides travel money services through selected House of Travel and Paper Plus locations.

“Convenience is a core part of our mission at Travelex, helping travellers access foreign exchange services wherever and whenever suits them. Partnering with TSB not only offers seamless access to foreign currency at a preferential rate but also supports those customers who may otherwise struggle to access travel money services in regional locations.”

Asokan Sathurayar, Managing Director – Australia New Zealand, Travelex

He added that the combination of value and convenience will allow TSB’s customers to enjoy their trip “with peace of mind their currency is secured.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Travelex to offer our customers better value when heading overseas. Together we can deliver trusted, affordable travel money options to customers nationwide. This is a great example of how partnerships can create meaningful benefits for everyday New Zealanders.”

Penny Burgess, General Manager Customer Delivery, TSB

Traveles currently operates 28 stores in New Zealand, including locations in Nelson, Hamilton, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch Airport, and Queenstown Airport. The company also said it will open a new store at New Plymouth House of Travel today.

The announcement comes as travel and foreign exchange activity remain active in New Zealand’s financial sector. Reserve Bank of New Zealand data published in April 2026 showed average daily NZD foreign exchange turnover reached NZ$15 billion in March 2026.
