Swiss biggest online retailer passes €1 billion mark

Record sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, along with strong sales during the Christmas season contributed to this increase

According to Ecommerce News, Digitec Galaxus has generated over €1 billion in sales through its online shops. This is an increase of 16% compared to the year before.

This way, Digitec remains electronics market leader. The company explains that although the electronics market is declining, the store managed to further increase its sales.

Beside Digitec launched its mobile subscription service and founded a marketing agency, the company also opened its 11th store.

In 2020, the Swiss company aims to double its logistics capacity. At the end of April, Digitec Galaxus will be opening a new, fully automated warehouse in Aargau, near Zurich. In addition to that, the company will also expand the incoming goods department and the packing line.
