Apple has plans to assemble an electric passenger vehicle. The ‘Project Titan’ will use automated vehicle technology and breakthrough battery technology by 2024. The venture, however, reduced the team by 200 employees.

It remains unclear who the vehicle manufacturer will be or what the vehicle will look like. It is also imprecise whether the vehicle will use a self-driving technology from other companies or one that Apple is working on.

Apple has been reported to sourcing auto parts and other components from suppliers. It is hence evident that the idea of the self-drive car hasn’t been ditched yet.

The categorization of the self-drive car as a passenger vehicle would put Apple in different categories other than autonomous vehicle companies such as Waymo.

Apple has also reallocated Project Titan and Field team under John Giannandrea, Apple executive’s machine-learning and artificial intelligence group.

We’ve reported that Apple has announced AirPods Max, the new wireless headphones. AirPods Max will be available in 5 colors: space gray, silver, cyan, green, and pink.
