Binance Kazakhstan is licensed by the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) Financial Services Authority (AFSA)
A leading crypto exchange Binance announced the launch of a regulated digital asset exchange in Kazakhstan.
The full-scale local platform is backed by a permanent license obtained by Binance from the AIFC Financial Services Authority (AFSA) in 2022. It will be able to offer exchange and conversion services, fiat deposit and withdrawal options, and custody of crypto assets.
Meanwhile, the global version of the crypto exchange also remains accessible to users in Kazakhstan.
The exchange continues to engage with five regulatory bodies in Kazakhstan to expand the platform’s offerings and approve over 100 digital assets for trading.
Moreover, the crypto company has been assisting local authorities in the development of the legal framework for the crypto sector. As part of the broader commitment to helping law enforcement agencies around the globe combat cybercrime, Binance’s Law Enforcement Training team also recently conducted a 4-day training program in Kazakhstan.
The move comes amid an ongoing lawsuit with the US regulators and a little while after Binance’s decision to pull out of several European markets. The SEC crackdown on the major crypto players has resulted in a significant drop in the market share of the Binance US platform.
