Coinbase has made the decision to suspend the XRP trading pairs on its platform. Trading will be fully suspended on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

The company assured that trading suspension won’t affect customers ’ access to XRP wallets. They will remain available for deposit and withdraw functionality after the trading suspension.

Further, customers will remain eligible for the previously announced Spark airdrop (subject to approval in certain jurisdictions).

We’ve reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission has filed an action against Ripple and two of its executives. They have allegedly raised over $1.3 billion through an unregistered, ongoing digital asset securities offering.
