JCB International and PJSCB Orient Finans have announced the start of JCB merchant acquiring operations across Uzbekistan.

This way, PJSCB Orient Finans became the first bank in the country to launch merchant acquiring operations for JCB.

That would allow JCB cardholders traveling to Uzbekistan to make payments at merchants using their JCB сards. They will be able to withdraw cash using the Bank’s ATM network throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan as well.

As to Orient Finans Bank, it will gain new sales opportunities with the global financial brand through its traditional merchant acquiring and e-commerce transactions.

The implementation of merchant acquiring operations is planned for this autumn.

We’ve reported that JCB International has partnered with Saudi Payments, Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority subsidiary and mada, national payment network operator.
