Samsung Electronics has introduced a line of flagship smartphones Galaxy S22, which includes three models: the base Galaxy S22 (6.1-inch screen), medium S22 + (6.6-inch) and S22 Ultra (6.8-inch) with built-in S Pen, for the first time in the Galaxy S series.
The presentation took place not only at the main store in New York, but also in its copy in the metaverse. The Galaxy S line of devices has received an updated design and more advanced technical characteristics. In particular, smartphones are equipped with Dynamic AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, more advanced cameras and new 4-nm chips (Exynos 2200 for the international version and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1).
Advanced capabilities for night photo and video shooting have been added to the software. The company notes that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most powerful Ultra device ever created by Samsung. The basic S22 and S22 + are available in green, pink, black phantom, white phantom are also available, and gray, blue, cream and purple are available on the Samsung website.
During the presentation, special attention was paid to the cameras. There are four of them – ultra-wide-angle at 12 megapixels, wide-angle at 50, telephoto lens at 10 megapixels with three times magnification, as well as the front camera (also 10 megapixels). Additionally, the cameras have a mode for smooth movement of focus, it helps to achieve a “cinematic effect”.
