9 months have flown anything but like a breeze for India Inc.

Despite all the noise, there seems to be a need to address corporate India’s chronic gender diversity problems. Gender equity in top management to be precise.

Although women representation at the top of the corporate food-chain has seen a positive incline, the rise has been minimal.

While a rise from 24% to 29% (from 2018 to 2019) may be a record high of women in senior management, there is still a long way to go to enable gender equity throughout business hierarchies.

The report also suggests that although women excel in C-suite roles in departments like HR and finance, work needs to be done in other avenues to improve inclusivity taking meritocracy into consideration.
