Visa partners with TransferWise 

TransferWise plans to continue to collaborate with Visa and scale its offering using Visa Direct

Visa has announced that TransferWise, a global technology company for cross-border payments, will offer its customers an additional capability to move money to debit cards in real-time. The integrated service, initially available in Spain, is also planned to go live in Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

TransferWise’s clients will get a better understanding of their fee structure in advance, providing transparency into the price while sending and receiving money internationally. TransferWise intends to use Visa Direct and scale the offering across Europe and worldwide in 2020.

Visa also collaborates with such financial institutions as EMQ, MoneyGram, and Remitly, bringing Visa Direct’s functionality to the global market in over 200 countries.
