Visa users will now use a Tap to Phone payment technology. The contactless remittance solution on NFC-enabled Android smartphones by Visa will be beneficial to business owners in 6 locations in the United States.

The solution was launched in Washington DC and will be distributed to enterprises in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit and Miami.

The technology turns into POS acceptance devices in Android smartphones. The initiative is in partnership with ZmBEZI. ZmBEZI is a smartphone solution and technology provider.

To help small businesses scale further, the commerce in a box solution has a variety of discounts, bundles and offers from Visa partners and Authorize.net. The box will also help small enterprises build eCommerce sites, accept digital remittances and provide online marketing solutions.

The Tap to Phone solution, which was unveiled in January 2020, was announced in October 2020. It will be launching in the US followed by pilots in over 15 nations including the UAE, Brazil, Russia and the UK.

We’ve reported that Stripe announced the launch of Stripe Identity solution.
