Lenovo unveils AI innovations at CES 2026: personal adaptive intelligence and enterprise inference infrastructure are bound to reshape device use experience.

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Lenovo introduced a broad set of artificial intelligence innovations spanning both consumer and enterprise markets. The announcements included the launch of Lenovo and Motorola Qira, a personal adaptive intelligence system designed to work across devices, and a new portfolio of enterprise AI inference servers, solutions, and services aimed at scaling AI workloads in real-world environments. Together, these developments reflect Lenovo’s dual focus on bringing AI into everyday device use and supporting the infrastructure needed for large-scale corporate deployment.
Personal Adaptive Intelligence Across Devices
Lenovo and Motorola Qira represent a system-level intelligence built into supported devices, designed to operate consistently across PCs, smartphones, tablets, and accessories. The solution is positioned as a shift from traditional app-based AI assistants to a more integrated and continuous model of intelligence. Rather than requiring users to open specific applications or switch between tools, Qira is designed to be present in the background, understanding user context and providing support when it is most relevant.
The intelligence is built around three key capabilities: presence, action, and perception. In terms of presence, Qira is integrated at the system level with multiple entry points, allowing users to activate it by voice, a dedicated key, or a floating interface. It can also operate proactively, offering suggestions or remaining in the background based on user preferences.
Speaking of action, Qira can execute tasks using device capabilities and on-device AI, including offline functionality. It coordinates actions across applications and devices, managing workflows without requiring users to manually control every step. This approach is designed to make interactions with AI feel more natural and seamless.
As for perception, Qira builds a shared knowledge base across devices by combining selected user interactions, documents, and memories, with privacy and user consent at the core. The system aims to develop a model of the user’s context and habits, enabling more personalized and contextually aware support over time.
Lenovo Qira is positioned as a set of practical features designed around real-life needs. It can provide proactive contextual guidance, suggest next steps, help users write directly within their workspace, and support multimodal interaction during screen sharing or camera use. It can also summarize activity after a user’s absence and support meetings with real-time transcription and translation when enabled. In addition, Lenovo highlighted a set of partner integrations, including Microsoft, Stability AI, Notion, Perplexity, and Expedia Group, that add specialized intelligence to the Qira experience while maintaining a consistent user experience across devices.
The feature set is built with privacy as a foundational principle. Lenovo describes Qira as using a hybrid AI architecture that prioritizes on-device processing to keep personal data local, while using secure cloud services to extend capabilities under strict security and user control. The rollout is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2026 on select Lenovo devices, with expansion to supported Motorola smartphones under the Motorola Qira brand.
Enterprise AI Inference Infrastructure
Alongside consumer-focused AI, Lenovo also announced a significant expansion of its enterprise AI infrastructure portfolio. The company introduced new Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkEdge servers, along with software stacks and services designed for AI inference workloads. These solutions are part of Lenovo’s broader Hybrid AI Advantage ecosystem and are intended to support real-world AI deployment across industries, including retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services.
AI inference is positioned as the next stage in AI adoption: moving from training large language models to deploying trained models that analyze new data and generate real-time decisions in production environments. The new server portfolio includes the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675i, a high-performance inference server designed to run full-scale large language models; the ThinkSystem SR650i, which offers scalable GPU compute for data center deployment; and the ThinkEdge SE455i, an ultra-compact server built for edge environments such as retail, telecom, and industrial sites. Lenovo highlighted advanced cooling technologies, including air and liquid cooling, as well as flexible pricing through its TruScale pay-as-you-go model.
These infrastructure announcements are supported by Lenovo’s Hybrid AI Factory, a modular framework for building and operating AI solutions at scale. The factory integrates infrastructure, software, and services to help organizations deploy AI inference across cloud, data center, and edge environments. Lenovo also outlined ecosystem-based platforms such as Hybrid AI Inference with Nutanix AI, Red Hat AI, and Canonical Ubuntu Pro, each offering different deployment options for enterprise environments.
To support adoption, Lenovo also introduced expanded services through Hybrid AI Factory, including consulting, deployment, and managed services. These services aim to help organizations optimize performance, ensure long-term reliability, and accelerate return on investment, while providing support for ongoing data center operations and flexible infrastructure financing.
