The 29th Edition of the Connected Banking Summit – Innovation & Excellence Awards will be held on 12 August 2026 in Addis Ababa, bringing together senior banking executives, financial regulators, fintech leaders, technology innovators, and policymakers to explore the next phase of digital banking transformation in Ethiopia and across emerging markets.
Organized by the International Center for Strategic Alliances (ICSA), the event forms part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Connected Banking Summit series, which has spent 25 years fostering collaboration and innovation across the financial services sector.
As Ethiopia accelerates its digital financial transformation, the summit will provide a platform for stakeholders to examine the technologies and strategies reshaping the banking landscape. Discussions will cover topics such as digital payments, mobile banking, AI-powered customer engagement, open banking, cybersecurity, digital onboarding, blockchain applications, and evolving bank-fintech partnerships. Participants will also explore the progress of Ethiopia’s digital finance initiatives and the opportunities created by increasing digital adoption and financial inclusion efforts.
