Akurateco and Payaza have entered a strategic partnership to enhance payment acceptance and orchestration capabilities across Africa while maintaining access to global payment corridors.
Akurateco, a white-label payment software and orchestration provider, and Payaza, an African digital payments service provider, partnered to enable merchants on the Akurateco platform to seamlessly process payments across key African markets as well as major global regions.
Under the agreement, Payaza’s acquiring and settlement infrastructure is integrated into Akurateco’s API-first payment orchestration platform, which provides a unified set of endpoints that connect merchants, acquiring partners, and payment methods through a single layer.
Payaza is a digital payments provider focused on expanding secure, multi-currency payment acceptance across key African markets, offering support for card payments, bank transfers, and alternative local payment methods. It has local acquiring and settlement capacity in Africa, enriching the white-label solution with local payment method support, settlement efficiency, and region-specific acquiring infrastructure that would otherwise require direct integration by merchants.
Merchants and payment service providers can connect to Payaza through a single integration, simplifying access to regional African payment methods alongside international card and cross-border transactions. The combined solution leverages Akurateco’s smart routing and unified reporting tools, enabling dynamic routing based on geography and performance to improve authorisation rates and operational efficiency.
The partnership aims to reduce technical and operational barriers for businesses expanding into Africa, responding to growing demand for modular, scalable payment infrastructure that supports both local and international commerce.
