Checker has announced a partnership with MoneyGram, one of the world’s largest cross-border payment networks.

The collaboration aims to support MoneyGram’s treasury and foreign exchange (FX) operations using stablecoin-based infrastructure.
Through Checker, MoneyGram gains a technology layer and access to liquidity to move funds across Latin America using USDC. For the company’s treasury team, this provides an additional channel to access local markets and manage liquidity alongside its existing financial infrastructure.
MoneyGram is a global payment network serving over 60 million active customers across more than 200 countries. The company boasts nearly 500,000 retail locations and billions of digital endpoints worldwide. Recently, MoneyGram has been actively integrating stablecoins and blockchain infrastructure not only into consumer products but also into internal processes such as treasury, FX, and settlements.
Through its partnership with Checker, the company gains another mechanism to access local liquidity in Latin American remittance corridors using USDC. This offers the treasury team an additional route for transferring value between markets and managing local currency demands.
“As we continue our adoption of stablecoins, partnerships like this help us integrate new technology into our operations in a practical, frictionless way,” said Chris Kelliher, Head of Foreign Exchange at MoneyGram.
Jack Chong, CEO of Checker, noted:
“We are proud to support a company of MoneyGram’s scale and reach as they bring stablecoins into treasury and FX workflows. This partnership is a great example of what Checker was built for.”
Checker provides infrastructure that enables businesses to integrate stablecoins into real-world operational workflows with a focus on security and compliance.
Working together with a company of MoneyGram’s size is an indication that stablecoins are not only used for individual person-to-person transfers but also for managing liquidity and transactions within important networks.
MoneyGram has been operating for over 85 years and positions itself as an omnichannel platform supporting both fiat and stablecoin transactions. Checker describes itself as a global network providing financial institutions with access to liquidity, payments, trading, and treasury services through a single integration.
